610 WTVN’s John Corby Passes at 61

I really don’t know how long I listened to 610WTVN’s  John Corby from Columbus, Ohio, but what I do know is that I am self employed and in the late fall of 2008, when the economy was caving in, listening to talk radio was beyond depressing. I turned to John Corby with his mundane, regular guy topics and Big Bass Brothers and it got me through. John has been a regular part of my afternoons down here in Cincinnati ever since.

John was not only with me in Cinicnnati but on iHeart while traveling in other parts of Ohio and the nation. John was with me in Holmes County Amish Country and Sandusky and probably when I drove out to Rapid City, South Dakota. I always tried to clear my schedule at 3PM Friday so I could hear the Big Bass Brothers. I will miss John. I will miss his dry wit and his self deprecating humor. I will miss that regular guy in Columbus. Rest in peace, my friend, and take a photo of yourself in that Big Bass bathroom in the sky. 5 bowls? Happy birthday, John.
