On Sad Cemeteries and Greener Alternatives

While cycling past multi-million-dollar homes and upwards of million-dollar landscapes in Henlopen Acres, Delaware, I came upon this multi-acre cemetery in their midst and it just made me sad. Not for the dearly departed but for the waste of the precious resource that is land, especially in cities.
Ron’s note: Cemeteries like Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY are beautiful horticultural masterpieces, unlike the cemetery in the photo, but even these places will one day run out of space. There must be a better way and apparently there is!
